Minnesota “Safe Storage” Bill Was More Proof of the “Camel’s Nose in the Tent”

A Minnesota bill (HF 4300) attempted to expand the state’s “safe storage” law passed the House but ultimately failed to make it out of the Senate when time ran out in the legislative session.

Minnesota already has a safe storage law, but HF 4300 was designed to expand the law to lay out specific requirements gun owners had to make, including requiring that the firearm be unloaded and have a locking device on it or the firearm must be stored in a firearm storage unit.

The current law in Minnesota charges gun owners with a misdemeanor if a firearm could be in a location where a child could “likely” gain access to the firearm.

This bill is just one of many examples of why gun owners must be “no compromise” when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. Because once gun grabbers get the “camel’s nose in the tent,” it’s all downhill from there.

Remember, the goal of the gun grabbers is the eradication of the 2nd Amendment.

If you give the gun control crowd an inch, they will take a mile. It’s never about “common sense” gun measures. They want to get a “small” issue passed because they know it’s much easier to expand on their gun control measures once you have caved on something “small.”

The gun grabbers aren’t above using fear, anxiety, and tragedy to push their agenda. Don’t let them use you or the organizations in your state to push gun control.

Fight gun control on every front and keep the camel’s nose out!
