Is there any doubt that America’s favorite Sheriff is Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County, Florida?
Judd is known for laying out common sense banter in his press conferences and not bowing down to the woke crowd. Well, Judd is doing it again and saying what gun owners already know about self-defense.
Steven Stillwell is in the hospital after he attempted to break into a home in Polk County.
Stillwell had thrown a flower pot through the homeowner’s window in a break-in attempt. That’s when the homeowner decided to defend their lives and their property.
The Polk County resident, who has not been named, shot Stillwell three times.
During his press conference, Judd told the media,
I’m proud of our homeowner for defending himself. It’s called a ‘Castle Doctrine.’ He has the right to protect himself and his home from unknown intruders.”
Judd went on to say,
I tell folks to get a gun, learn how to use it safely, and load it…You can dial 911 all day long, but when that guy’s coming through the back door on you, we can’t get there in time.”
Judd said what gun owners have long said about police response times. It isn’t that they don’t want to get there as fast as they can, but the police can’t be everywhere at once.
The homeowner knew that and took action to defend themselves, or they may not be alive today.
America needs many more sheriffs like Grady Judd, who lay down common sense for their citizens.
Judd has long preached that his constituents should buy a gun and learn how to use it. He knows that it may save their life if they are being attacked.
What do you think of Judd’s comment?
