Watch: FL Deputies in Crazy Shootout with Criminal

Police officers doing routine traffic stops can run into some pretty harrowing situations.

When a police officer pulls someone over, they often don’t know who they will encounter. Other times they are on a mission to arrest someone with an outstanding warrant and are more cautious about their approach to those types of traffic stops.

No matter the situation, police are faced with potentially deadly situations, and that is what happened in Florida with several Brevard County sheriff’s deputies.

An incredible news report from ABC 7 in Florida had this astonishing video of an incident where one officer was severely injured, and a suspect was killed after he opened fire on law enforcement. Watch the footage below:

Footage of the incident shows several sheriff’s deputies talking to the occupants of a vehicle. Some of the occupants are outside of the car, and some are still inside of it.

Suddenly, a man exits the pulled over vehicle and starts firing at deputies.

During the shootout, the criminal who began the shooting had gotten behind the deputies and hit one of them in the head with his firearm. When the deputy fell to the ground the criminal hit him several more times, fracturing several bones in the deputy’s face according to the report.

That’s when another deputy on the scene finally empties an entire magazine into the suspect, stopping his violent attack and killing him.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey at a press briefing did not hold back and preempted what he presumed would be some people being upset at how many rounds were fired into the suspect. Here is what Ivey said at the briefing:

Let there be no doubt, this individual got exactly what he deserved. And to those out there who might be foolish enough to ask why he was shot him so many times, that answer is simple, because evil can never be dead enough.”

What do you think about the sheriff’s statement? Do you think the deputy went too far or did the suspect get what he deserved?

    1. He got what he deserved. It’s ashamed he was let out of prison.when are these judges gonna wake up.

  1. One less POS on this earth! This quality citizen just thought he can just do whatever the F***K he wanted! WRONG!!!! Pushing up daisies now! Good job deputies! GREAT JOB!!! Stay alive!!! Fight back! Fight Back Hard!!!

  2. If you make the decision to use deadly force, use all you think you need to be absolutely sure the threat is ended!!! Absolutely! Deadly force means just that DEAD!!

  3. If the people that want to defund the police had their way, all 3 cops would have been shot while asking this career criminal if they had his permission to arrest him. Take away our guns and the only ones left with them will be criminals and the government. NOT something I’m ok with. He DEFINITELY got what he deserved.

  4. Criminals don’t think about anyone other than themselves. They put lives in danger. Police officers put their life on the line every.single.day. If there is a gun being fired at an officer, do whatever measure if necessary to take the perp down. I just listened to an interview with Sheriff Ivey. They have their hands full with migrants coming to FL. ICE has it’s hands tied by the White House. Shameful and dangerous!

  5. Neutralize the threat any way possible. One less POS for the public defender to waste tax dollars on.
