Homeowner Shoots Man in South Carolina Acting “Strange”

A man in Spartanburg, South Carolina is dead after he refused to leave the property of a homeowner and proceeded toward their front door when warned to leave the premises.

Witnesses on the scene said the man was acting “very strange” and was approaching the property of homeowners. The homeowners told the man to leave their property which he did according to witnesses.

However, witnesses then say the man came back again and came onto the same property.

Witnesses told police that the man began moving toward the front porch. The man was allegedly told to leave the premises once again. However, after the man refused to leave and began coming toward the front door, the homeowners retrieved a firearm.

When the man was at the doorway, the homeowner opened fire, striking the man several times.

Police say that when they arrived on the scene the man was dead in the doorway. Police say they have not yet identified who the man is and the investigation is ongoing.

Spartanburg police say that no charges have been filed.

On September 5, 2021, around 9:50 p.m., officers responded to 601 Farley Avenue in reference to a disturbance where shots were being fired. Once on scene, officers discovered several people at the location and a male lying on the front porch suffering from gunshot wounds.
The witnesses informed police that an unknown male in his mid-twenties, wearing dark clothing and a hoody walked into their front yard and approached the homeowners. They stated the unknown male was acting very strange, therefore they asked him to leave their property. The male did not leave immediately, however after asking him to leave several times he eventually left. Moments later the unknown male returned and approached the home again.
The homeowner and others asked the unknown male to leave the property a second time. According to the witnesses, the unknown male refused to leave and approached the front door with his hands in his pocket.
The homeowner retrieved a weapon from the inside of his home while the subject was standing on the front porch, approaching the entry point of his home. Shots were fired, and the unknown male was struck in the chest. The unknown male fell at the doorway where he died. The deceased male has not been identified.
This is an ongoing investigation and we still have multiple tasks to complete. This incident is being reviewed by the Spartanburg Police Department, the Spartanburg County Solicitor’s Office and the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office. At this point, no charges have been filed. Additional information will be released when available.”

  1. Do not charge the home owner, he was just protecting his family and home. When the politicians stop supporting the criminal, crime will drop, enact the death penalty and it will drop even more.
