Boom: Texan Breaks World Record with Incredible Shot!

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that a Texan has broken the world record for the longest shot at an incredible three miles!

The man who pulled off the incredible feat is a 41-year-old named Bill Poor. I guess his last name is not an indication of his shooting capabilities.

The old record was held by a Navy Seal named Charles Melton. Melton’s distance was 2.84 miles or 5,000 yards.

While Melton took 38 shots to obtain his record, Poor did it with just eight shots!

According to Americangg.net, the records set by Melton and now Poor have a technicality that prevents them from officially being recognized by the Guinness World Records:

Due to a technicality, neither Meltron nor Poor’s shots have yet been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.”

Apparently, shots with optics are not recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Either way, the shot is incredibly impressive and a reminder to our enemies of our shooters’ skills in the United States. But, of course, a shot like this isn’t done with any regular rifle and optics.

It takes a lot of science and engineering to pull it off.

Will someone break the record set by Poor? Let us know what you think in the comments.
