The National Association for Gun Rights has won its case in NAGR v. Garland, and the ATF has agreed to return all forced reset triggers.
The ATF unconstitutionally banned the devices during the Biden administration. This was a common tactic for the ATF, which unilaterally defined devices on its own accord in an effort to get them banned.
In this case, the ATF had sent Rare Breed Triggers a letter telling them that they had to stop selling FTRs because they were “machine guns.”
Lawrence DeMonico, the President of Rare Breed Triggers, broke down the battle in an 11-minute video posted on YouTube. You can watch that video here.
NAGR posted about the victory for gun owners on X, stating,
“TOTAL VICTORY OVER THE ATF
FORCED RESET TRIGGERS ARE BACK
The DOJ has settled in our case, NAGR v. Garland -conceding on ALL points.
Return ALL seized triggers.
Drop their appeal in the 5th Circuit and all other cases.
Pledge not to touch FRTs in the future.”
Now that the ATF has been defeated on FTRs, gun owners are asking for the ATF to be disbanded entirely. H.R. 221 from Rep. Eric Burlison (R – MO) will do just that.
